Young Eagles Overview

Who: Kids from 8 to 18

What: FREE AIRPLANE RIDES!

When: All events are Saturdays 10:00 am to 2:00 pm in 2010 (all dates are "weather permitting")

Why: This is a community outreach program sponsored by the EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association) and put on by our local EAA Chapter 9. Nationally we have flown over a million children in the past 10+ years, and are continuing to fly kids to show them the joys of flight in the hopes that they may become interested in aviation as a career or as a hobby, or simply to show them what flying is from the inside.

How: Simply come to one of the scheduled Young Eagle rallies shown above. No Pre-registration is required, but a parent or guardian must sign our waiver form.

Program coordinator: Chuck Hoisington
